"Gloria, laus et honor tibi sit, Rex Christe, Redemptor:
Cui puerile decus prompsit Hosanna pium. "
Hear the hymn sung solemnly, I saw no Jesus there.
where did He go? Did He go to to Rome, attended the liturgical ceremony, where the peoples had welcomed Him with palm leaves?
Or did He back to Nazareth? Try to propitiate peoples around there? Or a retrospection?
"Israel es tu Rex, Davidis et inclyta proles:
Nomine qui in Domini, Rex benedicte, venis. "
Thought back where He've been sent to this world, learnt to crawl as a baby, fell down and got hurt so many times... and until then.. He managed to walk...
How's He Longed for His Family... still felt how tight joseph's embraces... "I love you" Sometimes He heard His Mother talk..
" Coetus in excelsis te laudat caelicus omnis,
Et mortalis homo, et cuncta creata simul. "
Still can felt how cold the water of Jordan river was, when He was baptized there...
Still reminded what He performed in many miracles of healing and deliverance..
Still reminded what He taught about unconditional self sacrificing God-like love for God and for all people..
Still reminded what He preached about service and humility, faith, love for one's enemies, the forgiveness of sin, and always tell us how to forgive..
"Plebs Hebraea tibi cum palmis obvia venit:
Cum prece, voto, hymnis, adsumus ecce tibi."
Still remembered about his tormented long path to golgotha,
and how painful the crown of thorns was in His head...
Still remembered the pain of crucifixion, because he want to redeemed our sins..
...and.. He died on the cross... until His resurrection and ascension...
"Hi tibi passuro solvebant munia laudis:
Nos tibi regnanti pangimus ecce melos."
Though it was not sung by philharmonic nor symphony orchestra ...
and this was not moonlight sonata nor Serenata Notturna..
even it was not comparable to marvelous Handel's oratorio nor fabolous Bach's cantata..
and not as good as Pachabel's canon in d major nor Mozart's opera..
and not as popular as Vivaldi's works in baroque era..
and it's not a magnificent Gregorian chant nor a notable Aria..
but i can feel how triumphant this hymn and euphoria..
just a lovely song sung by the church's choir in this fiesta..
not in vienna... but here.. in Jakarta..
"Hi placuere tibi, placeat devotio nostra:
Rex bone, Rex clemens, cui bona cuncta placent."
I enjoy every strings of melody and feel the tranquility..
It's like voice of an angel.. turn this ordinary hymn into nocturne..
A chant in a passion... on earth as it is in heaven...
Litany and canticle shouted..
Still saw no Jesus there...
Saw nothing on his cross but purple..
and suddenly, I knew exactly where hast Thou been..
Here In our precious 's heart , He stay..
Accompany us when we spread the love in this crowded way..
Hold our hand when we walk alone in narrow winding alley..
Always find us, even we hide in the isolated isle..
Guide us through this dangerous lane...
Keep our faith through many uncertain pathway..
And.. protect us through this long dark valley...
"Gloria, laus et honor tibi sit, Rex Christe, Redemptor:
Cui puerile decus prompsit Hosanna pium. "
